I WOULD HOPE.

I WOULD HOPE.

i should act surprised should i not?
but i wouldn’t,
i would never lie to you.
i would hope,
hope for the things i never did in time
the things that lerked in the back of my mind
the questions i asked myself as you embraced me.
she’s pretty you know,
not that conventional pretty, but pretty non the less.
who am i kidding, you are the furtherest from the word conventional.
in every sense and nonsense of the word.
i would hope,
hope she understands the beauty of your thoughts
understands the power of your words, of your touch
i would hope,
hope she finds the joy in seeing herself happy when she is with you
finds the happiness in the vains in your body and how they touch a deeper meaning,
a deeper beauty
i would hope,
hope she makes you breakfast
hope she makes every caffinated kiss last a lifetime
i would hope,
hope she lets you out to breathe, just breathe
breathe in the stars and the moon and the view
oh the view
i would hope,
hope she sends you love letters to the moon and kisses them with the sun
sends you sweets from heaven down the road
sends you smiles from that place no one knows existed inside her
places she didn’t know could exist.
i would hope,
and hope
a million times over
because a million times would not be good enough
and that’s good enough for me.
i would hope,
hope she makes you happy
hope she makes you smile
hope she makes you mad
hope she makes you cry
i would hope,
hope because feelings that make no sense at all to be felt
are never better felt then when they are inflicted by that one,
i would hope.
